This antibody is predicted to react with mouse, rat, Drosophila, and non-human primate based on sequence homology.
Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency achievable only through recombinant production.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, offering higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a known mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

Rb (Retinoblastoma protein) is a tumor suppressor nuclear phosphoprotein capable of binding to DNA. It is phosphorylated on serine and threonine residues and forms complexes with SV40 large T antigen, adenovirus E1A, and HPV-16 E proteins.
Rb regulates transcription, and loss of its function leads to uncontrolled cell growth. Mutations or aberrations in the RB gene are implicated in various cancers including breast, colon, prostate, kidney, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and leukemia.
