For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional round of desalting (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The protein encoded by the BMF gene belongs to the BCL2 protein family. Members of this family form hetero- or homodimers and act as anti- or pro-apoptotic regulators involved in various cellular activities.
This protein contains a single BCL2 homology domain 3 (BH3), binds BCL2 proteins, and functions as an apoptotic activator. It is sequestered to myosin V motors via association with dynein light chain 2, aiding in intracellular damage sensing and apoptosis initiation.
Alternative splicing results in different isoforms.
