Target Information
Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP)은 특정 염증성 질환 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 효소입니다. 이 효소는 intestinal, placental, placental-like, liver/bone/kidney 형태의 네 가지 상이하지만 관련된 알칼리성 포스파타제 중 하나입니다. PLAP는 임신 3기 동안 태반에서 발현되는 막 결합형 isoenzyme(Regan 및 Nagao type)과 반응합니다. PLAP는 고환 생식세포 종양의 식별에 유용하며, PLAP 양성 체세포 종양은 일반적으로 epithelial membrane antigen (EMA)을 발현합니다. PLAP의 제안된 기능은 기질 광물화(matrix mineralization)이지만, 이 효소가 결핍된 생쥐에서도 정상적인 골격 발달이 나타납니다. PLAP는 고칼슘혈증 및 골격 결함을 특징으로 하는 hypophosphatasia와 직접적으로 연관되어 있으며, 돌연변이 유형에 따라 발병 시기와 증상 심각도가 달라질 수 있습니다.
