Target Information
Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP)는 특정 염증성 질환 과정의 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 효소입니다. 이 효소에는 장, 태반, 태반 유사형, 간/골/신장 등 네 가지 형태가 존재합니다. PLAP는 임신 3기 동안 태반에서 발현되는 막 결합형 isoenzyme(Regan 및 Nagao type)에 반응하며, 고환 생식세포 종양의 식별에 유용합니다. PLAP 양성 체세포 종양은 일반적으로 epithelial membrane antigen (EMA)을 발현합니다. PLAP의 기능은 기질 광물화로 제안되었으나, 해당 효소가 결핍된 생쥐에서도 정상적인 골격 발달이 관찰됩니다. PLAP는 고인산혈증(hypophosphatasia)과 직접적으로 관련되어 있으며, 이는 고칼슘혈증과 골격 결함을 특징으로 합니다. 돌연변이의 종류에 따라 발병 시기와 증상의 정도가 달라질 수 있습니다.
