Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 1 mM EDTA buffer (pH 8.0) for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Suggested positive controls: tonsil tissue (IHC) or HeLa lysate (WB).
Target Information
CDK2/cyclinO is a member of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase family complexed with CyclinO.
CyclinO, a protein isoform of the UNG gene, is localized exclusively in the nucleus and exhibits uracil-DNA glycosylase activity.
CDK2/cyclinO protein levels increase during the G1 phase and are turned over during the cell cycle.
Cyclin A–CDK2 complex peaks at the G1/S transition, associating with DNA in the replication initiation complex.
Rb protein serves as a substrate for CDK2–Cyclin E and/or CDK2–Cyclin A in vivo.
CDK2 is activated and localized to the nucleus during late G1-, S-, and G2-phases.
