Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).
Target Information
The ABCB1 gene encodes a membrane-associated protein belonging to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily.
These proteins transport various molecules across cellular membranes and are divided into seven subfamilies: ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and White.
ABCB1 (P-glycoprotein) is part of the MDR/TAP subfamily, functioning as an ATP-dependent efflux pump for xenobiotic compounds with broad substrate specificity.
It contributes to multidrug resistance by reducing intracellular drug accumulation and plays a role in the blood-brain barrier transport mechanism.
