Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The ABCB1 gene encodes a membrane-associated protein that belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily.
These proteins transport various molecules across cellular membranes and are divided into seven subfamilies: ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and White.
ABCB1 is part of the MDR/TAP subfamily, which is involved in multidrug resistance. This ATP-dependent efflux pump exports xenobiotic compounds, reducing intracellular drug accumulation and contributing to anticancer drug resistance.
Additionally, ABCB1 functions as a transporter in the blood-brain barrier.
