Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

Several serine/threonine protein kinases act as intermediates in signal transduction pathways, including ERK/MAP kinases, ribosomal S6 kinase (Rsk), and Raf‑1. Raf‑1 is a cytoplasmic protein with intrinsic serine/threonine activity and is broadly expressed in most cell lines. It is the cellular homolog of v‑Raf, the transforming gene product of murine sarcoma virus 3611. Unregulated v‑Raf kinase activity is associated with transformation and mitogenesis, while Raf‑1 activity is normally suppressed by its N‑terminal regulatory domain.

A‑Raf, another member of the Raf family, shares substantial homology with Raf‑1 within the kinase domain but less elsewhere. A‑Raf expression is highest in urogenital tissues and kidney, and lowest in brain tissue.
