Target Information
Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase of the SRC-related TEC subfamily. Mutations in BTK are associated with developmental blocks in B-cell ontogeny and immunodeficiency disorders.
BTK interacts with toll-like receptor (TLR) family members such as TLR4, 6, 8, and 9, which are key in innate and adaptive immunity. It also interacts with MyD88, TIRAP, and IRAK, but not TRAF-6, indicating a role in lipopolysaccharide signal transduction.
