Product Specific Information
The antibody detects a 70 kDa protein corresponding to CRMP2 on immunoblots of rat PC12 or mouse C2C12 cells treated with calyculin A. This reactivity is lost after lambda phosphatase dephosphorylation of Thr-555.
Target Information
CRMP2 is necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. It plays a role in axon guidance, neuronal growth cone collapse, and cell migration.
