Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human HCC-1 (CCL14). The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human HCC-1 (CCL14) matrix.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human HCC-1 (CCL14) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL is required. In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human HCC-1 (CCL14) (500-P106Bt) as a detection antibody, this allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human HCC-1 (CCL14).
Western Blot:
To detect Human HCC-1 (CCL14) by Western Blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
The CCL14 gene, located on chromosome 17q11.2, encodes a CC cytokine characterized by two adjacent cysteines. This cytokine induces intracellular calcium changes and enzyme release in monocytes. The gene expresses both monocistronic and bicistronic transcripts, the latter including the upstream cytokine gene CCL15. Alternative splicing occurs in bicistronic transcripts, while its presence in monocistronic transcripts remains uncertain.
