This antibody detects endogenous levels of total Ribosomal Protein S29.
Target Information
Ribosomes are organelles that catalyze protein synthesis and consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits comprise 4 RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins.
RPS29 is a ribosomal protein component of the 40S subunit and belongs to the S14P family. It contains a C2-C2 zinc finger-like domain capable of binding zinc and can enhance the tumor suppressor activity of Ras-related protein 1A (KREV1). The protein is located in the cytoplasm.
