Product Specific Information

  • Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
  • After reconstitution, store product undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
  • For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
  • Mouse anti-Human CD14 antibody, clone MEM-18, recognizes human CD14 (Myeloid cell-specific leucine-rich glycoprotein).

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It acts as a multifunctional lipopolysaccharide receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 binds LPS in a reaction catalyzed by LBP, contributing to immune responses and inflammation regulation. It also interacts with apoptotic cells and plays roles in allergic, inflammatory, and infectious processes.
Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding the same CD14 isoform.
Diseases associated with CD14 dysfunction include Mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
