Mouse anti-Rat CD31 antibody, clone TLD-3A12, recognizes rat PECAM-1 (CD31), a 661 amino acid type I transmembrane protein expressed primarily on endothelial cells, platelets, and leukocytes.
Target Information
CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor involved in regulation of T-cell and B-cell signaling via dual immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). Upon phosphorylation, these motifs serve as docking sites for protein-tyrosine phosphatases.
CD31 is widely expressed within the vascular compartment, mainly at intercellular junctions. Its N-terminal Ig-like domain mediates homophilic binding, critical for cell-cell interactions.
CD31 plays key roles in:
