Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
SOCS (Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling) family proteins negatively regulate cytokine receptor signaling. There are eight members: SOCS1–7 and CIS.
SOCS proteins consist of an N-terminal variable region, a central SH2 domain, and a C-terminal SOCS box.
They function as part of a negative feedback loop controlling cytokine signaling via STAT-induced transcription.
SOCS gene transcription occurs rapidly in response to cytokines, and each member inhibits signaling through distinct mechanisms.
