Target Information
GRP78 (78 kDa glucose regulated protein)은 HSP70 계열의 열충격 단백질로, 소포체(ER)에 존재하며 새로 합성된 분비성 및 막 단백질과 일시적으로 결합합니다. 변형되거나 잘못 접힌 단백질과 상호작용하여 분해를 유도하며, C-말단에 Lys-Asp-Glu-Leu (KDEL) 서열을 포함하고 있어 ER 내 단백질의 재활용을 조절합니다.
GRP78은 단백질 접힘과 품질 관리에 중요한 역할을 하며, 세포 항상성 유지 및 세포사멸(apoptosis) 억제에 관여합니다. 또한 저혈당, 산화 스트레스, 알츠하이머병 등 다양한 생리·병리적 상태에서 발현 변화가 보고되었습니다. GRP78의 발현은 항암제 내성과도 관련이 있습니다.
