Product Specific Information

• Description: Monoclonal mouse IgG2b, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Used for flow cytometric analysis as APC-Alexa Fluor® 750 replacement.
• Applications Tested: Validated by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at same concentration as test antibody.
• Fluorophore Information: APC-eFluor 780 emits at 780 nm, excited with Red laser (633 nm). Ensure instrument compatibility.
• Light Sensitivity: Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect from light.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in dark.
• Excitation/Emission: 633–647 nm / 780 nm; Laser: Red.
• Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to antigen. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype and plays key roles in:

• Opsonization
• Complement activation
• Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
• Regulation of immune responses (T cell activation, B cell inhibition)

Widely used in research and diagnostic applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, as well as in therapeutic studies like immunotherapy and vaccine development.
