Target Information
NME4 is a protein kinase involved in transferring phosphate groups from ATP to substrate proteins. Through this mechanism, protein kinases regulate signal transduction in eukaryotic cells, controlling metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal organization, apoptosis, and differentiation. The protein kinase family includes over 500 members and is categorized into eight major groups based on catalytic domain sequences. The AGC kinase group includes PKA, PKG, PKC, RAC/Akt, ARK, and RSK families.
