Target Information
NME4 is a protein kinase enzyme that transfers phosphate groups from ATP to substrate proteins, mediating signal transduction in eukaryotic cells. It regulates cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle, cytoskeletal rearrangement, apoptosis, and differentiation. The protein kinase family includes over 500 gene products and is classified into eight major groups based on catalytic domain sequences (PTK or STK). The AGC kinase group includes 63 kinases such as PKA, PKG, PKC, Akt, ARK, and RSK families.
