Target Information
NME4 is a protein kinase that transfers a phosphate group from ATP to a substrate protein, mediating signal transduction in eukaryotic cells. It plays roles in cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation. The protein kinase family includes over 500 gene products and is classified into eight major groups based on catalytic domain sequences. The AGC kinase group consists of 63 kinases, including families such as PKA, PKG, PKC, RAC/Akt, ARK, and RSK.
