Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and is located on chromosome 11 in humans.
NF-kB p65 (also known as RelA) belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms part of the NF-kB complex, which heterodimerizes with p50 or p52.
Upon TNFα receptor activation, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its degradation and subsequent NF-kB activation.
NF-kB p65 plays a crucial role in transcription regulation, particularly in immunoglobulin kappa gene expression in mature B-lymphoid cells.
