Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing at room temperature.
Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid; dilute only prior to immediate use.

This IgG fraction antibody was purified from monospecific antiserum via delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion-exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis.
Specific for human VEGFA-121 protein. BLAST analysis indicates 100% homology with human VEGFA-121 sequence, suggesting possible cross-reactivity with VEGFA-121 from various species. Cross-reactivity with non-human sources has not been determined.

Target Information

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-A (VEGF-A) was originally isolated from tumor cells and is produced by various cell types. It stimulates vascular growth and permeability and may promote vasodilation via nitric oxide-dependent pathways.
Mouse VEGF-A variant: VEGF-120.
Rat and bovine VEGF are one amino acid shorter than the human form; bovine and human sequences show 95% homology.
