• Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
• For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
• This purified antibody has been heated to 56°C for 30 minutes.
• Recognizes both native and recombinant human VEGF-165 in cell supernatants and certain body fluids.
• A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

Target Information

The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family includes VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, and PIGF.
VEGF and its receptor system are key regulators of angiogenesis signaling.
Most tumors require angiogenesis, and VEGF is the most potent angiogenic cytokine linked to this process.
Five isoforms of VEGF are generated by alternative splicing from a single VEGF gene.
These isoforms bind to tyrosine-kinase receptors flt-1 (VEGFR-1) and flk-1/KDR (VEGFR-2), expressed mainly on endothelial cells.
