Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They are composed of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, and ensuring lot-to-lot consistency.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each batch is produced from a known mixture of heavy and light chains, eliminating biological variability seen in traditional polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information
IRS-1, a major substrate of the insulin receptor, is phosphorylated in response to insulin, IGF-1, and IL-4 stimulation. It undergoes phosphorylation on serine, threonine, and tyrosine residues in various tissues. Casein kinase II mediates a portion of insulin-stimulated serine/threonine phosphorylation of IRS-1 in vivo, with Thr502 and Ser99 identified as major phosphorylation sites.
IRS-1 contains three putative 14-3-3 binding sites (Ser270, Ser374, Ser641), with the Ser270 motif located in the phosphotyrosine-binding domain responsible for interaction with the insulin receptor.
