These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot is produced with a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating the variability associated with traditional polyclonal antibodies.

Target Information
IRS-1 is a major substrate of the insulin receptor and is phosphorylated in response to insulin, IGF-1, and IL-4 stimulation. It undergoes phosphorylation on serine, threonine, and tyrosine residues across various tissues.
Casein kinase II mediates part of the insulin-stimulated serine/threonine phosphorylation of IRS-1, with Thr502 and Ser99 identified as major phosphorylation sites in rat IRS-1. These phosphorylation events may be part of the intracellular insulin signaling cascade.
IRS-1 also contains three putative 14-3-3 binding sites (Ser270, Ser374, Ser641), with the Ser270 motif located within the phosphotyrosine-binding domain responsible for interaction with the insulin receptor.
