Target Information
OBFC1 is a component of the CST complex, which binds to single-stranded DNA and protects telomeres from degradation.
The CST complex binds ssDNA with high affinity in a sequence-independent manner, while individual subunits bind weakly.
Beyond telomere protection, CST likely plays broader roles in DNA metabolism at non-telomeric sites.
