Target Information
The CXCL5 gene encodes an inflammatory chemokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. It is produced concomitantly with interleukin-8 (IL8) in response to stimulation by interleukin-1 (IL1) or tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFA). CXCL5 functions as a potent chemotaxin involved in neutrophil activation.
