Product Specific Information
Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as an approximately 150 kDa band, and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
IRS-1 (Insulin Receptor Substrate 1) is a major substrate of the insulin receptor, phosphorylated in response to insulin, IGF-1, and IL-4 stimulation. It undergoes phosphorylation on serine, threonine, and tyrosine residues in various tissues.
Casein kinase II mediates part of the insulin-stimulated phosphorylation of IRS-1. Thr502 and Ser99 are identified as major phosphorylation sites. IRS-1 contains three putative 14-3-3 binding sites (Ser270, Ser374, Ser641), with Ser270 located in the phosphotyrosine binding domain responsible for insulin receptor interaction.
