Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein present in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, where it catalyzes various reactions. GST is widely used to create the GST gene fusion system, allowing purification of GST-fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors for research applications.
