Target Information
The 14-3-3 beta/zeta gene encodes a member of the 14-3-3 protein family, which mediates signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This conserved family is found in both plants and mammals. The encoded protein interacts with RAF1 and CDC25 phosphatases, suggesting its role in linking mitogenic signaling and cell cycle regulation. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
