Target Information
The human MHC class II is encoded by three different isotypes: HLA-DR, -DQ, and -DP, all highly polymorphic. HLA-DP molecules are less studied but play a key role in immune recognition.
HLA-DP is a protein complex on antigen-presenting cells (dendritic cells, macrophages, B cells) that presents extracellular peptides to CD4+ T cells.
HLA and MHC antibodies are crucial in immunopeptidomics, aiding identification and characterization of neoantigens via high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.
