Description:
The NK92.39.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD96, also known as TACTILE (T cells-activated increased late expression). CD96 is a type I membrane protein of the Immunoglobulin Superfamily and promotes NK cell adhesion to cells expressing the polio virus receptor (CD155). CD96 serves as an additional receptor for CD155. Binding of PVR to CD96 can result in internalization and may induce NK cell death, which is significant in tumor cells expressing high levels of PVR. CD96 expression has been observed in most CD34(+)CD38(-) Acute Myeloid Leukemia cells.

The NK92.39.1 antibody can block binding of soluble CD155 to NK cell lines.

• Pre-titrated and validated for normal human peripheral blood cells
• Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (final volume 100 µL)
• Suitable cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test

• PerCP-eFluor® 710 emits at 710 nm and is excited with the 488 nm blue laser
• Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable alternative)

Light Sensitivity:

Target Information

CD96 (TACTILE) is a cell adhesion receptor belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a single-pass transmembrane protein with three extracellular Ig-like domains and a proline/serine/threonine-rich region. CD96 is expressed on monocytes and T cells (including γδ T cells, thymocytes, and NK cells), but not on mouse B cells. Unlike humans, mouse CD96 lacks alternative splice variants. CD96 binds CD155/poliovirus receptor and Nectin-1 to mediate NK cell adhesion and cytotoxicity.
