Product Specific Information

Description:
The eBio5E10 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD90 (Thy-1), a 25–35 kDa receptor expressed on thymocytes, CD34⁺ prothymocytes, hematopoietic stem cells, neurons, and subsets of fetal liver, cord blood, and bone marrow cells. CD90 regulates adhesion and signal transduction in T cells.

Applications Reported:

• Flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:

• Pre-titrated and tested using HEL cell line.
• Recommended use: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per 100 µL cell sample.
• Suitable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Fluorochrome Information:

• PerCP-eFluor® 710 emits at 710 nm and is excited with the 488 nm blue laser.
• Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable).

Fixation:

• Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using:
  • IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49)
  • 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54)
• Performance after fixation should be verified empirically.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in T cells, thymocytes, neurons, Kupffer cells, and fibroblasts. CD90 is involved in cell-cell interactions during neural development and serves as a marker for stem cells and neuronal axons. Dysregulation is associated with conditions such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thymoma.
