Target Information
Interferons (IFNs) are key regulators of immune responses during viral infection, mediating both innate and adaptive antiviral mechanisms. IRF7 plays a major role in transcriptional activation of virus-inducible genes, including interferon beta. It interacts with Toll-like receptor (TLR) adaptor proteins such as MyD88 and Tirp/TRAM, functioning in TLR4 and TLR9 signaling pathways. Multiple isoforms of IRF7 exist, though their distinct functions remain unclear.
