This antibody detects endogenous levels of Di-Methyl-Histone H3 only when methylated at Lys4.
Target Information
Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure by binding to DNA. Histones play key roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo multiple post-translational modifications that influence cellular processes, including methylation or acetylation of lysine and arginine residues and phosphorylation of serine or threonine.
