Target Information
LIMK2는 actin 세포골격 변화를 조절하는 serine/threonine kinase로, cofilin의 인산화를 통해 작용합니다. 뇌 발달에도 관여하며, LIM motif는 단백질 간 상호작용을 매개합니다. LIM kinase-1과 LIM kinase-2는 두 개의 N-말단 LIM 모티프와 C-말단 단백질 키나아제 도메인을 가진 소규모 서브패밀리에 속합니다. LIMK2 단백질은 ROCK에 의해 인산화되어 활성화되며, cofilin을 인산화하여 actin 탈중합을 억제합니다. 이 경로는 Rho에 의해 유도되는 actin 세포골격 재구성에 기여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. LIMK2는 최소 세 가지 전사 변이를 가집니다.
