Target Information
LIMK2는 actin 세포골격 변화 조절에 관여하는 serine/threonine kinase로, cofilin의 인산화를 통해 actin 탈중합 활성을 억제합니다. 또한 뇌 발달에도 관련되어 있으며, LIM kinase-1과 함께 두 개의 N-말단 LIM 모티프와 하나의 C-말단 kinase 도메인을 가진 독특한 소아형 서브패밀리에 속합니다. LIMK2는 Rho의 하위 인자인 ROCK에 의해 인산화되어 활성화되며, actin 세포골격 재구성에 기여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 최소 세 가지 전사체 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
