FBXL11 (KDM2A)는 약 40 아미노산으로 구성된 F-box 모티프를 가지는 F-box 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다.
이 단백질들은 SCF (SKP1-cullin-F-box) 유비퀴틴 단백질 리가아제 복합체의 서브유닛으로 작용합니다.
F-box 단백질은 다음 세 가지 클래스로 구분됩니다:
- Fbws: WD-40 도메인 포함
- Fbls: 류신 반복 서열 포함
- Fbxs: 다양한 단백질-단백질 상호작용 모듈 또는 명확한 모티프 없음
FBXL11은 Fbls 클래스에 속하며, F-box와 함께 최소 6개의 류신 반복 서열을 포함합니다.
