IFITM1 (Interferon inducible transmembrane protein 1)은 IFN-inducible transmembrane protein family에 속하며, interferon-gamma에 의해 유도되는 항증식 작용의 주요 매개체입니다. 세포 성장 조절에 관여하며 여러 종양 유형에서 발현이 증가되어 종양 바이오마커로 활용될 수 있습니다.
Mouse IFITM1과 IFITM3은 발생 단계에 따라 원시 생식세포 표면에서 발현되며, IFITM1 활성은 생식세포 이동에 필수적입니다. IFITM1은 비발현 생식세포를 중배엽에서 내배엽으로 유도하는 반발성 분자로 작용합니다.
