Target Information
TCTN2는 Tectonic 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, Hedgehog (Hh) 신호전달을 매개하는 신경관 패턴 형성에 관여하는 진화적으로 보존된 분비 및 막 단백질입니다. TCTN2의 발현 패턴과 기능은 아직 명확히 밝혀지지 않았지만, TCTN1과 49%의 유사성을 보입니다. TCTN1은 배아 발생 중 Hh 신호에 관여하는 영역에서 발현되며, 돌연변이 마우스는 E13.5~E16.5 사이에 사망하고 holoprosencephaly를 나타내어 Hh 활성화 인자로서의 역할을 시사합니다. 후기 발달 단계에서는 전후 신경관에서 Hh 경로 억제 인자로 작용할 가능성도 있습니다.
