This antibody recognizes an extracellular epitope of CD62L (L-selectin), a 65–76 kDa cell surface protein expressed by neutrophils, monocytes, and subsets of T, B, and NK cells. It interacts with specific carbohydrates exposed on activated endothelial cells.
Western Blot: Perform under non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
CD62L (L-Selectin) is a 74–95 kDa glycoprotein member of the selectin family of adhesion receptors. It includes:
- An N-terminal C-type lectin binding domain
- An epidermal growth factor-like domain
- Two short consensus repeat (SCR) sequences
- A spacer region, transmembrane region, and short cytoplasmic region
Human CD62L is constitutively expressed on most leukocytes including lymphocytes, monocytes, and polymorphonuclear cells, except for a subset of memory T cells.
