Product Specific Information
This antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope of murine CD62L (L-selectin), a 75 kDa single chain type I glycoprotein expressed on most peripheral blood B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes. It is also present on a subset of NK cells and certain hematopoietic malignant cells.
Functional Application: Blocking.
Target Information
Human CD62L is a 74–95 kDa glycoprotein member of the selectin family of adhesion receptors. L-Selectin includes:
- Aminoterminal C-type lectin binding domain
- Epidermal growth factor-like domain
- Two short consensus repeat (SCR) sequences homologous to complement binding proteins
- Short spacer region, transmembrane region, and cytoplasmic region
Human CD62L (L-Selectin) is constitutively expressed on all classes of leukocytes including lymphocytes (except a substantial population of memory T cells), monocytes, and polymorphonuclear cells.
