This antibody reacts with CD58 (LFA-3), a 40–70 kDa extracellular membrane glycoprotein distributed across many tissues, including leukocytes, erythrocytes, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The encoded protein serves as a ligand for T lymphocyte CD2, functioning in adhesion and activation of T lymphocytes. It is localized to the plasma membrane. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
