Product Specific Information
The MAb11 antibody reacts with human tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF alpha), a 17 kDa cytokine produced by monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, NK cells, and CD4+ T cells. TNF alpha exhibits cytolytic activity against various tumor cells and plays a key role in immune regulation. It forms dimers and trimers and also exists as a 26 kDa membrane-bound form.
MAb11 is a neutralizing antibody suitable for intracellular flow cytometric analysis. Tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometry of stimulated human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration is advised.

Target Information
TNF alpha is a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine of the TNF superfamily, primarily secreted by macrophages. It binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR receptors and regulates immune cell activity, proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation.
TNF alpha exists as multimers (dimers, trimers, pentamers) and shows a single 17 kDa band under non-reducing SDS-PAGE conditions. It contributes to tumor necrosis, immune responses to infections, and has been implicated in autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and cancer.
