Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Rat MIP-1alpha (CCL3). The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:

• Recommended concentration: 0.25–1.0 µg/mL (100 µL/well)
• Use with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Rat MIP-1alpha (500-P77) as capture antibody
• Detects ≥0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat MIP-1alpha

Western Blot:

• Recommended concentration: 0.1–0.2 µg/mL
• Detection limit: 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions
• Use with compatible secondary reagents

Target Information

MIP-1alpha and MIP-1beta are structurally and functionally related CC chemokines involved in host defense against bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal infections. They regulate trafficking and activation of inflammatory cells such as macrophages, lymphocytes, and NK cells.

• MIP-1alpha selectively attracts CD8+ lymphocytes
• MIP-1beta selectively attracts CD4+ lymphocytes
  Both chemokines are potent chemoattractants for B cells, eosinophils, and dendritic cells, and are active on human and murine hematopoietic cells.
