Target Information
TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2, T-cell immunoglobulin, mucin-domain containing-3)는 281개의 아미노산으로 구성된 Type-1 Th1 특이성 세포 표면 당단백질로, 말기 분화된 CD4⁺Th1 및 CD8⁺Tc1 세포에서 발현됩니다.
TIM3는 세포외 영역의 IgV-like 도메인과 mucin-like 도메인, 세포질 영역의 Tyrosine phosphorylation motif로 구성되어 있습니다.
이 단백질은 대식세포 활성화 및 자가면역 질환 유발에 관여하며, 공격적인 Th1 매개 면역반응을 하향 조절하고 면역 관용 발달을 촉진합니다.
TIM3의 병리학적 중요성은 Th1 의존성 자가면역 질환인 실험적 자가면역 뇌척수염(EAE)과 관련이 있으며, 마우스에서 EAE의 심각성을 증가시킵니다.
