Target Information
Vimentin은 중간엽 기원의 세포에서 발현되는 발달 조절성 중간 필라멘트 단백질(Intermediate Filament Protein, IFP)입니다. 이 단백질은 핵과 세포막 사이에서 단백질의 세포 내 수송에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
세포 발달 초기에는 desmin과 함께 발현되며, 이후 조직 특이적 IFP로 대체됩니다. 또한 Vimentin은 스테로이드 합성 속도 조절에 관여하며, 스테로이드 생성에 필요한 콜레스테롤 함유 지질 방울의 저장 네트워크 역할을 합니다.
Protein kinase에 의해 인산화되면 중간 필라멘트가 분해되고, ATP 및 myosin light chain 의존적 수축 반응이 활성화되어 지질 방울과 미토콘드리아 간 상호작용 및 콜레스테롤 수송이 촉진되어 스테로이드 합성이 증가합니다.
