Target Information

The thromboxane A2 receptor (TBXA2R) is a member of the Prostanoid Receptor subfamily. It plays a key role in hemostasis by interacting with thromboxane A2 to induce platelet aggregation. Thromboxane A2 is associated with myocardial infarction, stroke, and asthma. Additionally, thromboxane-prostanoid receptors are implicated in cardiovascular disease pathogenesis. Changes in TBXA2R function have been linked to hereditary bleeding disorders.
