This antibody reacts specifically to Histone H3 monomethylated at Lysine 18 (K18me1).
No cross-reactivity with dimethylated (K18me2), trimethylated (K18me3), or other methylations in histone H3.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems.
These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening and selection of optimal clones for production.

Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in eukaryotic chromatin.
Together with four core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure.

The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo various post-translational modifications such as:
- Methylation or acetylation of lysine and arginine residues
- Phosphorylation of serine or threonine residues
These modifications influence chromatin structure and gene expression by enabling binding of specific transcription factors.
