Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MAP3K8 (also known as COT) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates MAP and JNK kinase pathways and plays an important role in the cell cycle.
MAPK signaling cascades include MAPK (ERK), MAPK kinase (MEK), and MAPK kinase kinase (MEKK). MEKK phosphorylates and activates MEK, which in turn activates MAPK.
These signaling kinases are highly conserved across species. MEKK8 can activate NF-κB1 by promoting proteasome-mediated proteolysis of NF-κB1/p105.
This cytoplasmic protein is expressed in various normal tissues and tumor-derived cell lines. The 58 kDa form is activated during the S and G2/M phases of the cell cycle, while the longer and shorter forms undergo phosphorylation on Ser and Thr residues, respectively.
